SOLO, KOMPAS.com - Bagi pemilik mobil mungkin pernah menemukan adanya tetesan air di kolong mobil, dan beranggapan disebabkan karena air radiator bocor. Meski begitu, hal tersebut tidak sepenuhnya salah.
Air yang menetes dari kolong mobil sebenarnya bisa disebabkan oleh berbagai hal, sehingga pemilik harus mengetahui asalnya agar bisa memastikan kesehatan kendaraan.
Iwan, pemilik Iwan Motor Honda Auto Clinic Solo, Jawa Tengah mengatakan, ada dua kemungkinan penyebab tetesan air di kolong mobil.
“Ada dua kemungkinan, kalau berwarna berarti air radiator, kalau bening dan dingin itu air pembuangan AC hasil evaporasi,” kata Iwan kepada Kompas.com, Rabu (31/1/2024).
Iwan menjelaskan, jika hal ini terjadi maka ini hal yang normal sebab jika tersumbat bisa berisiko.
“Kalau itu normal, air ac hasil evaporasi harus dibuang, malah ga boleh mampet kalau itu terjadi bisa membanjiri kabin mobil,” kata Iwan.
Iwan juga menegaskan, jika ada tetesan air di bawah kolong mobil berwarna putih dan dingin itu bukan kebocoran.
“Pemakai mobil juga ada yang ga paham, itu bukan kebocoran tapi air buangan AC, seperti buangan AC rumah,” kata Iwan.
Iwan juga menjelaskan, evaporator AC dirancang memiliki ruang untuk menampung air hasil evaporasi. Dari tampungan tersebut air akan dibuang keluar mobil melalui pipa dan selang.
“Kalau air hasil evaporasi bermasalah pembuangannya, maka kalau tampungannya penuh akan meluap dan membanjiri kabin,” kata Iwan.
Jika sudah begitu, Iwan menyarankan untuk membersihkan saluran pembuangan air AC mobil.
