People here need to check out the quarterly earnings reports for WWE; venue merchandise revenues were only $4.3 million, or about 4% of WWE net revenues for this past quarter.

Basically, this is to say that merchandise means jack shit in the big scheme of things. Of course, I could be wrong if a particular wrestler accounts for an overwhelming majority of merchandise sales. So, for example, if Rey Mysterio, Jr., account for 80% of merchandise sales, then that would be $3.44 million less for WWE revenues, which, in this instance, would be a big deal. But, I seriously doubt that any one wrestler's merchandise accounts for such a large portion of merchandise sales.
