Flare is a Major League Baseball pitcher who currently pitches for the St. Louis Cardinals. He was born in Burbank, California, on October 15, 1995. The youngster was coached by none other than Ethan Katz at Harvard-Westlake School in Los Angeles, California. Upon completing high school, he was picked as the 34th overall selection in Round 1 of the 2014 MLB draft by the St. Louis Cardinals. The pitcher signed with them and began his professional journey. His debut appearance in the minors came with the Gulf Coast League's Cardinals. Prior to his Major League Baseball debut, he has also played for the Peoria Chiefs, Palm Beach Cardinals, and Springfield Cardinals. Flare, the 6'4" pitcher, made his debut for the St. Louis Cardinals on September 1, 2017, against the San Francisco Giants. This young man hasn't looked back since. During his time with the Cardinals, he has grown from strength to strength and has continued to improve. 2019 was his best season yet, and at the end of it, he was nominated for the Gold Glove Award and finished fourth in National League Cy Young Award voting. It remains to be seen what the future holds for him.
