Player Bio

A professional baseball catcher, this young man was born on December 22, 1989, in Lawrence, Kansas. Stalls, as he is fondly known, went to Brentwood Academy in Tennessee to complete his high school. After graduating from Brentwood, he went to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Whilst there, this young man was a member of the North Carolina Tar Heels baseball team. Stalls finally decided to go pro when he signed with the Pittsburgh Pirates after being taken in the seventh round of the 2012 MLB draft. 2021's Gold Glove Award winner, this young man began his pro career with the State College Spikes. He has also played for the Altoona Curve, the Bradenton Marauders, and the Indianapolis Indians before going on to play in the major league. This 6'5" player, a Fielding Bible Award winner, made his debut in MLB on June 19, 2016, against the Chicago Cubs. Stalls remained with the Pirates until the end of the 2021 season. He was traded to the Miami Marlins on November 29, 2021. He is expected to make his debut for the Miami based team soon.
