Following an unexpected fall that fractured her shoulder in February 2023, complications that ensued revealed an alarming truth; Claver’s breast cancer had metastasized to her liver spine stomach lining lymph nodes–marking an 18 month battle of incredible courage with community support throughout.
Claver was determined not to allow her illness to break her spirit and continued fighting valiantly with support from community, friends, and family members. Her journey through such difficult circumstances illustrated both personal strength as well as collective perseverance in times of difficulty.
How Will She Be Remembered?
Kris Claver left an indelible mark upon Hollywood and its citizens with her presence at some of its grandest events and in peoples hearts, leaving an outpour of grief after her passing in May 2023 that proved her lasting influence over both industries and communities. A GoFundMe campaign collected over $137,000 as tribute to this special woman reflected their deep respect and love.
Claver was more than an event planner – she was also an influential mentor, friend, and source of great inspiration to many people in Los Angeles entertainment scene.
