HALL SUMMIT, La. (KSLA) — Two small earthquakes shook up parts of northwest Louisiana.

On Jan. 11 at 8:52 a.m., an earthquake struck 3.7 miles south-southwest of the Red River Parish village of Hall Summit, La. That earthquake measured a magnitude of 2.8 and a depth of 3.1 miles. The radius affected by the event was slightly more than 155 miles.

KSLA First Alert’s earthquake tracker shows a slightly smaller earthquake then struck nearby about lunchtime. It was recorded 3.7 miles north-northwest of the Red River Parish village of Edgefield, La.
