The Cleveland Guardians' starting pitcher was born on May 31, 1995, in Orange, California. This baseball player graduated from Laguna Hills High School in Laguna Hills, California, and was recruited to play college baseball as a walk-on at the University of California, Santa Barbara. As a freshman, he was a member of the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos baseball team, and by his second year, he had earned a scholarship. Mr B played collegiate summer baseball for the Cowlitz Black Bears in the West Coast League in 2014. He played collegiate summer baseball for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox in the Cape Cod Baseball League in 2015. This pitcher made his professional debut with the Mahoning Valley Scrappers in 2016 after being drafted in the fourth round of the 2016 Major League Baseball draft by the Cleveland Indians. In 2017, he played for the Lake County Captains, the Lynchburg Hillcats, and the Akron RubberDucks.On May 31, 2018, the Guardians, then the Indians, bought the pitcher's contract and added him to their active roster. He started against the Minnesota Twins on his major league debut that night. A two-time All-Star team member, this young man has been with the Guardians since then.
