Ginny And Georgia is back on screens and what would another season of a beloved show be without some questions to address? Created by Sarah Lampert, the comedy-infused drama focusing on the titular characters premiered on Netflix in February 2021 and was renewed a few months or so later.
The wait has been long – season 2 finally landed on Thursday, January 5, 2023.

It’s established throughout Ginny And Georgia that Abby is struggling with her body image and suffering from body dysmorphia.
For those who are unfamiliar, body dysmorphia is essentially a mental health condition that causes a person to dwell on what they perceive as flaws in their appearance. This can cover a broad range of things.
In the series, we see Abby grapple with feeling her legs aren’t thin enough. To get into smaller jeans and create the illusion of a more pronounced thigh gap, she tapes her legs around the thigh.
In one scene, Matt Press (played by Damian Romeo) touches her leg and asks: “What is that? Is that tape?” She tells him to shut up but he proceeds to ask her whether she’s taping her legs.

‘Everyone is fighting a battle you can’t see’
Showrunner Debra J Fisher recently spoke to Variety about the Abby storyline, explaining “we had several people on our creative team with that lived experience” of using tape in that manner:
“We will get into it [further]. In season 1, we did have several people who struggled with eating disorders; we wanted to highlight this is something you know your best friend is going through and you literally have no idea. Everyone is fighting a battle you can’t see, even your best friends.”

Abby actress Katie Douglas previously played Megan in 2018 movie Every Day, but has also been in such movies as The Walk (Kate Coughlin), Believe Me: The Abduction Of Lisa McVey (Lisa McVey), and Level 16 (Vivien).
