WCW just dosn't hold a flame. most of their stars were WWE rehashes. All of their technical wrestlers, and cruiserweights? Bought out ECW talent. ECW created new stars, and had the best pure wrestling of the time. WWE, nor WCW could compete with the matches that ECW was putting on at the time. And think about all the castoffs that ECW took in, and turned into hot commodities again. They took wrestlers nobody wanted, and changed their careers. WCW would buy them back and ruin them

WCW was good for one thing, the same thing the WWE is great at right now, misusing talent. WCW had some talented wrestlers, but they never gave them a push, never showcased them, nothing. So what good did it do?

WCW had a good run competing with WWE. They put on some great shows, and had some good storylines. The nWo was a great storyline... .for the first 4 months or so. WWE picked up their games, raised their attitude level and took some of ECW into it. And WCW had some great wrestling during its early days when it was pure wrestling, and no gimmicks.

But I'm sorry, nothing holds a flame to what ECW was. They took wrestlers who everybody though had no talent, and they put on great 30 minute matches. I'm not talking about barbwire, scaffold, hardcore pummelings, I'm talkinga bout the technical wrestling they put in the ring, the straight forward matches had better wrestling than WCW.

My baramoter? I look at the wrestlers who excelled in ECW putting on awesome shows, and look at how they went to WCW and were wasted.

I'm sorry, ECW was better. And for a period I preffered WCW to WWF.
